Video: AFP reveals list of CPP allies allegedly named by Sison
Apparently, there’s some hubbub surrounding the recent Sison video that was released by the AFP. Here’s the video, for everyone to see.
And here’s some background reporting on the the video during its media release… too bad, there weren’t any popcorn being passed around.
Joma’s Reaction:
tags: (none)Jose Maria Sison, National Democratic Front (NDF) founding chair, scored the military Friday for using a two-decade old “tampered” video clip of himself to link militant groups to the communist armed struggle.
Sison said he should be “flattered” that the military thought he looked young, because the video was allegedly altered to make him appear older.
“The military has resorted to sowing intrigue by using a 1987 film clip of my lecture in Brussels. It was doctored to make it appear I was naming the front organizations of the NDF and the armed revolution,” he said in Filipino during an interview on dzRH radio.
“They don’t tire of recycling old things. Its think tank is bankrupt on ideas,” he added.
“Esperon seems to be losing his mind. If he has any honor left, he’ll quit his post. The military used a passage of my speech and tried to implicate the NDF. It is clear the military is deceiving the public,” he said. (via)
