Most people simply don't care anymore. Despite the lies about WMD, the thousands in Iraq dead, and a looming war with Iran, the Neocons are still in power in the US. It is interesting to see that there is a strong internet culture in the US that wants to hold its leaders accountable. I hope this develops in the Philippines as well. This website would hopefully bring this about. Unfortunately for the US, the Senate and the lower house is less concerned about accountability. House speaker Nancy Pelosi, speaking for the democrats, has already said that impeachment (of GW Bush) is off the table - this despite the offences of the President being considered the worst in history. Cindy Sheehan, the peace activist who lost a son in Iraq approached Congressman Conyers (Democrat) to request the impeachment of the President. Instead of entertaining her request, Conyers had Sheehan arrested. US politics is now as broken as that of the Philippines. In both cases, the internet is the only channel left that is not in the control of the economic elite. I hope we take advantage of it.
