Hopefully spammers will learn to fear prison time simply for using forged email headers, which inherently constitute fraud and identity theft. I would very much like to see some convictions based on this notion that spoofing is identity theft and therefore a criminal offense. Spoofing is a very important tool for spammers. There are so many ways to nail spammers that don't involve fuzzy first amendment issues. It's good to see some action being taken. This is most interesting because of the precedent that it will set.
