Microsoft Philippines and Vista Operating System
After hearing that Microsoft was previewing its Operating System Vista, I got the feeling that Microsoft was really going all out on this new release. I mean, who wouldn’t. It’s the core of their business. And it’s been five years since the last time Windows has had a new operating system.
So just how are they letting the local consumer experience this new operating system? According to an article in inq7.net, they are opening up so called “Experience Centers” where consumers can try them out. Sort of like a test drive I guess. According to the article, Microsoft Philippines has opened up “25 Experience Centers in Avant Electroworld at Greenbelt 4 in Makati this week”.
Vista has been long awaited by many since early this year when Microsoft delayed its release. The official release for Vista in The Philippines will be next year, so this isn’t surprising that marketing for this product is increasing.
On another Microsoft note:
I know that Microsoft had a vested interest in The Philippines, but looking at their site, it seems they are doing a lot to really embed themselves into our Filipino culture and lifestyle. They are even opening an office in Cebu.
Recent things that Microsoft is doing

Say what you will about Bill Gates, but Microsoft Philippines is definitely providing their fair share of help for our country.
Now, let’s hope the new Vista will also make our lives a bit easier too.
And on yet another Microsoft note, as you can see on their website, they are offering 30% off on Windows XP Home and Professional packages. Check it out here
That’s it. I think that’s too much Microsoft for today.
