Two Proverbs Regarding Children

Here are two proverbs that have similar sentiments regarding children. The first one is a Filipino proverb and the second is taken from the Bible.
Ang gawa sa pagkabata, dala hanggang pagtanda. [What one learns in childhood he carries into adulthood]
Proverbs 22:6 Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.
As I always assert, our children are so important. They are our future leaders, our future teachers and doctors, and our future in general.
I’ve always believed that in order to be successful in raising a child, you must be able to provide that child with a positive and loving environment. Always emphasize to your child that he/she is loved no matter what. Often times, a child will develop a deficiency in life that tend to compensate for a lack of love. The best way to raise a confident and well balanced individual is to impart to that child that your love will never wain or never fade, despite his/her faults or your faults, your love is always there.
Another emphasis that I would like to impart to our readers is that a positive environment consists of a loving marriage as well. A child’s eyes are always open whether you know it or not, and how you treat your spouse will go a long way with how your child will handle his/her future relationships.
In conclusion, just be a good parent. Your child deserves to be brought up in a good environment no matter what your circumstances are in life. You, as a parent, fulfill so many roles. You are a parent, teacher, friend, mentor, leader, and a provider of love.
If The Philippines is to move forward, we must have a good solid foundation with our Children.

Yeah, i think that many Filipino parents don’t give enough attention to their children, or in some cases put too much burden on their children. I can’t blame them sometimes because they have to work, but i think even if you work, you should still have a good relationship with your child. If you can’t, then maybe you shouldn’t have children yet.
O nga pala, salamat sa article na ‘to. I think more Filipinos should realize this.
