Around two weeks ago, i wrote about the heroism and the dedication that our teachers bring each and every time election season comes. Despite the dangers and the pressures that they are put under, they serve their nation nonetheless. That is why it brings me such pain that they were not able to get their payments before and after the elections so that they could perform their duties. I personally know many teachers who had to shell out their own money for the election so that they can perform their duties.

They are supposed to get P1500 before the election upon receiving the election paraphernalia and P1500 after the election along with P300 for their allowance. As the following video will show, they did not receive any payments when the Comelec released the funds to the local treasurers. One fact stands out, and that in many cases, they had to wait 10 to 14 days in order for the checks to clear and funds made available. Shouldn’t the stupid Comelec have thought of that in the first place?

I’m not the only person sickened and angry by this situation, as the video will show, Mike Enriquez is clearly pissed off.
