I think those are UP activists. Mga walang kwenta nman mga yan. Most activists are not doing the country any good, they are just rallying for the sake of rallying. May kilala nga ako, that was a student that just went on so many rallies, then I ask her, what are you going to rally on this week? Sabi niya, kahit ano, basta may pagkain.
I for one attend these rallies, and I don’t know any one who takes the trouble to take to the streets just for … how do you say it? … “pagkain.” But perhaps you know even more than just one of them. I guess it depends on the company one keeps, eh?
The salvation of this country lies in the continued existence of people, young or old, UP or non-UP activists, housewives, fish vendors, farmers, doctors, nurses, teachers, students, businessmen, artists, etc., who still oppose cheating, corruption, and other offenses that public officials have chosen to commit against the general public.
That they are still outraged by government’s continual assault on human rights (e.g., rights to life and suffrage) is the miracle that will save this country and that might yet open the eyes of apathetic, dazed and desensitized whores living off the fat of the lying, the cheating and the stealing.
However, let us not forget to be wary of the the deceptions and evils hidden in the disguise of fighting for humanity.
If the group espouses deep inside the intent to protect the people, I give you my highest regard.
But if you belong to the group hiding themselves in the cloak of societal issues but with the real intent of overthrowing the democratic government, SHAME ON YOU!
@Mark, but the certain groups who do stand up, peacefully, and protest with conviction, we must both agree, that these are well meaning individuals, are they not?
I for one don’t condone overthrowing your own government, we have a process for that, and that is an election…

Is that what you call standing up?
