Another Observation on The Extrajudicial Killings in The Philippines

As I’ve said, and I reiterate here. The killings, the murders, the lies, deceits, and declaration of innocence of both sides are as if we are in a room full of convicts.

We have everyone crying foul play, insisting innocence, and yet we know, this is what the guilty does.

We cannot tolerate any form of violence on any side.

I’ve lived in the province before, and lately, I’ve been informed, that in regions where NPA and military clashes are prolific, citizens are skeptical and even fearful of both sides.

When a country’s citizenship has lost confidence with its own law enforcement and military, there is something fundamentally wrong here.

But, let’s make it clear, both sides are instigators, both are enablers, and directly or indirectly responsible. The NPA and the military are institutions in which one needs to be abolished, and the other needs to be reformed. Your guess in which one is which.

One Response to “Another Observation on The Extrajudicial Killings in The Philippines”

  1. I agree; both sides are instigators. The NPA, however — and I am in no way condoning their actions or ideology — are for the most part reactive. They came to be, and continue to gather young recruits directly and indirectly via certain left-leaning organizations, for a reason. While the solutions the NPA present are archaic and all-too-often violent, the truth remains that gma’s administration has simply become too repulsive.
