Children of Corruption
As we move through this NBN scandal and the Jun Lozada Testimony, we can only think of the Billions or even Trillions of pesos lost because of corruption. Each and every act of corruption that funnels government money into the hands corrupt government officials, each act has a victim.
These are the victims, the children of corruption.
They who live day to day, who’s only goal is to survive know not what theft is taking place in their own country. For the measly 22% kickback that is rampant in government, this means education, food, medicine, and houses for the poor.
The Children of Corruption, we see them every day. The politicians know they exist, but because greed is at the core of their existence, there is no more room for a conscience.
May the corrupt be visited by the souls of those they have murdered, for out of their own greed, they lost sight of the precious gift of life. It is murder when people die of poverty and lack of health care. It is murder. May they have justice.
