Jose De Venecia and all the Gloria allies are setting up a program that will provide amnesty for Gloria, and to sweeten the deal, they’re even including former President Joseph Estrada (Erap), possibly Senator Trillanes, and even insurgents and MILF members. This plan, as Speaker De Venecia informed the public, is an all encompassing and wide ranging Amnesty for political crimes committed.

For all this time, who would have thought, that the detention of Former President Joseph Estrada as well as Senator Antonio Trillanes was a twofold objective. It was meant to keep them out of political power, and it was also meant to keep them as a wild card in order to absolve Gloria of any wrongdoings she has made against The Filipino people during her term in power.

President Arroyo, can now be rest assured, that even if her plan to extend her rule by switching to a parliamentary form of government does not succeed, she can always have the amnesty for all her crimes made under her Presidency. After 2010, citizen Gloria Arroyo may not have to answer to any of her crimes after all.

If Erap is smart and has enough sense, he will not accept any amnesty put forward, nor should any of our public officials go along with this scam. The President is not above the law, and any crimes committed against The Filipino people must be paid for.

A mere traffic ticket is fine, but the deaths of many Filipinos, the misuse of power, the misuse of funds, and the cheating that happened in the 2004 and 2007 elections is no longer acceptable. If Gloria has done nothing wrong, then she should not fear any inquiries or investigations into her conduct during her Presidency.

Gloria should not be allowed to weasel her way out of punishment, if indeed, she is found culpable for the many alleged crimes during her presidency which include vote rigging, extra-judicial killings, kidnappings, graft and corruption.. The list can go on and on, these are the many allegations she will have to face once she becomes Citizen Gloria.

This will only lead future leaders to think that they too can get away with crimes against The Filipino People. Amnesty is not the solution, it is another tool for impunity of our corrupt Public Officials, including, but not limited, our very own President.
