The Seesaw Battle Between Obama and Clinton

As I have written here before, I’m a Hillary Clinton supporter, but have thought deeply of supporting Barack Obama. Let’s be honest, the spectacular shows that Barack Obama puts out in state after state is quite tremendous and inspirational on so many levels. As I have said with friends and family, it just shows that Obama can be an inspirational speaker, but can he be president? But then again, there’s the question of where exactly is Hillary’s inspirational speeches, and momentous “I have a dream” type of lines? And then, I am reminded of how she truly is a leader when it comes to those personal interviews. She may not be as good as Obama during those speeches, but give me Hilary any day when it comes to those one on one sit downs.

Take for example the interview with Tavis Smiley of PBS,

And when I watch this interview, she’s personable, genuine, and knowledgeable of the issues. This is the Hillary that I’m supporting. I know of the attacks against her, and yet we have to think to ourselves, despite all the attacks, she still stands, and is now around a 1000 delegates shy of winning the Democratic Nomination.

In the end, I like them both, Obama and Clinton. But there is a choice to be made as of the moment, and it is still Clinton for me.
