The Clown: Oliver Lozano Escorted Out of COMELEC Canvassing Area

The ClownSenatorial candidate, Oliver Lozano, of Kilusang Bagong Lipunan (KBL) provided a whole lot of laughter last night when he withdrew as counsel of Joselito Pepito Cayetano, but when he continued to be disruptive and confrontational, Chairman Abalos of the National Board of Canvassers (NBC) called on the bailiff to take him out of the canvassing area.

Amidst all of the laughter, he complained of Dagdag Bawas (Vote padding and shaving) that went in favor of Alan Cayetano and not Joselito Cayetano.

Lozano even cited the Manila Bulletin, and said that Joselito Cayetano already hit 1 million votes, which made the crowd in the canvassing area erupt in even more laughter.

When Abalos did not confirm any of the allegations, Lozano withdrew himself as counsel for Joselito Cayetano. But then he kept on going, even yelling and raising his voice, complaining that Joselito Cayetano had been the victim of Dagdag Bawas.

After going on with his inane speech, Abalos finally asked police, acting as bailiffs, to escort Oliver Lozano out of the canvassing area.

Here’s the video of the hilarious incident.

Thank God for this video, I thought I was going crazy just because of the elections, but this provided at least some comedic relief for the meantime.

But the importance of this situation may not be obvious, we still need a testimony and full investigation into the case of Joselito Cayetano. A further probe of this incident needs to be examined due to the fictitious nature of his candidacy. Wrongdoings have been alleged on the part of the First Gentleman Mike Arroyo in coordination with the current COMELEC administration in order to harass GO candidate Alan Cayetano.

And although this was definitely a funny incident, the fact remains that in the coming weeks, one of the investigations that we should ask for, both administrative and maybe criminal, should be on the Joselito Cayetano Candidacy. If there is no investigation, future occurrences of nuisance candidates being able to push through with their candidacy up until the election may still occur.

  1. Amazing! Could a legal counsel (by that Lozano must mean he is a member of the bar? or isn’t he?) withdraw just like that without notifying his client? I thought if someone were a real attorney at law, one couldn’t just do that.

This Lozano has been a real buwisit since time immemorial. Isn’t he the same guy who was charged with murder or homicide of a Cory supporter some 20 years ago but got off the hook? So, he’s still up to his foooking tricks, eh?

  2. Hi Nick, marvelous blog that you have here. I’ll like this to my blog.

  3. A De Brux,

yeah he was one of the legal counsel for Marcos, but Bongbong wasn’t too happy of the fiasco that was made of his father’s political party during this election,

So Bongbon is right now trying to have this clown removed from the party and says he never endorsed any of the other clowns that lozano took with him on this Senatorial Candidacy

  4. ahahaha! what a joke this person is.

  5. @Ellen,

I really appreciate the kind words, especially since it comes from a writer that I respect very much.

  6. Nick,

“And although this was definitely a funny incident, the fact remains that in the coming weeks, one of the investigations that we should ask for, both administrative and maybe criminal, should be on the Joselito Cayetano Candidacy. ”

I totally agree! There is a law in France against making fun or of mocking a particular law. I can tell you that such an act aimed at causing nuissance deliberately on another, thereby making a mockery of the election would have been downright punished in France, i.e., spirit of the law must not be twisted.

  7. Obviously, Lozano is the one suffering from Dag-Dag/Bawas. But more in the bawas as he seems to lose his sanity as the days pass. His antics though are more nauseating than irritating.

  8. @A De Brux,

Let’s keep on fighting for the chance to see the day, that these incidents no longer afflict us during elections.

    @Schumey,

Nauseating may be the correct word after all.. :)

I don’t most of your candidates, but this guy was just too much. Dapat talaga imbestigahan, pero I’m sure this is a case of just crazy people and not a real plan against Alan Cayetano. I think Joselito and this guy was just crazy, like all the other nuisance candidates.

  10. Kahit wala ako dun sa COMELEC during that time, I feel sorry for Atty. Oliver Lozano.
