Migz Zubiri Will Never Be Redeemed

Right now Migz Zubiri is on top of the world but acknowledges that he has an image problem. But screw that self analysis, the real problem with Daya na Zubiri is that he has an integrity problem. How can he redeem himself when he cannot even acknowledge the real problem of benefiting from cheating?

Some pundits are now saying that he can redeem himself if he does a good job as a Senator. But no amount of good performance will work if he isn’t even supposed to be there in the first place. My God, it was almost too much as he praised high heaven for his win, but the lower house in Hell was probably more jubilant during his proclamation.

The cheats have managed to sneak in Migz Zubiri, and for that, Migz Zubiri will never truly be a Senator nor will he ever be redeemed. Because for redemption to take place, he should have conceded a month ago, and he should be truthful as to the wrongs he has participated in.

But one thing is clear, Musa did not die in vain, because of his heroism, the people see just how Miraculous the Maguindanao Votes were. Because in every Municipality in Maguindanao, except Pagalungan where Musa and other BEIs stood their ground, Migz received 95% up to 100% voter percentage share. But in Pagalungan, Daya na Zubiri only got 42.15%.

Try to explain that Mr. Fake-Senator Zubiri…

  1. Zubiri’s 2007 case is a repeat of Gloria’s in 2004. What i cannot comprehend after all that has happened is why people still consider quality of governance (assuming there is) is a valid ticket to legitimacy.

I agree that Musa’s sacrifice and the subsequent actions of the teachers in Pagalungan has given us a window to the truth. Unfortunately, since there are 21 other municipalities, it seems we need twenty times the number of heroes to turn things around.

  2. cvj,

Indeed if we even had a semblance of a fair COMELEC, we wouldn’t need to call upon the extraordinary sacrifices of our people…

with such a machinery, brazen election operators, and an all too cooperative COMELEC, it was just too much to stomach…

more heroes indeed, but would that have meant more heroes gunned down/
