Melo Report: Quick Thought
I was just thinking out loud, although copies of the Melo Commission Report is being furnished to The European Union and United Nations special rapporteur Philip Alston, I wonder why it is that we aren’t able to see the findings?
Is it possible that what Alston is given is not the same as what was written? And is it also possible that what is in the report doesn’t paint the complete picture, or even the right picture in the first place?
According to Inquirer.net, Biazon is saying that the report should be “made public before copies of it are made available to the European Union”.
I say, hold on to your horses Biazon. How about we consider something even much better…
Give copies of the report to The UN, The EU, The United States, etc. and here’s where we differ, make it public at the same time. No need to wait. I just don’t see a reason why you would have one come after the other, when clearly both can take place at the same time.
It’s just a thought…
