Making The Case for Iran

If you’ve seen the escalation by the Bush Administration in their briefings to the media, you would think that we’ve traveled back in time. But listen closely and you will notice one difference, and that they are not talking about Iraq, but Iran. Indeed, as it looks like, they are trying to focus attention, now, on Iran. Saying that some of the weapons that are being used to kill American Soldiers, are coming from Kudz forces, which have ties to the Iranian government.

But, what’s new? It’s been out in the public for some time now that U.S. officials know that the Iranians are supplying deadly weapons. But, why all the hyped up presentations and the so called “mountain of evidence”? We’ve known this all along, that weapons are coming from Iran, everyone knows this, it’s not breaking news that has suddenly made all journalist drop from their chairs. We knew. But what has changed? Nothing, except that the administration is trying to make a case for Iran, trying to test the waters, and is now engaging in a power struggle against Iran.

When a U.S. Administration wants to make a case, they can. They have the resources, the intelligence community, the military leaders, and even mainstream news media to try to back up this case. This is what happened with Iraq, but the press has learned from its lessons, and what you saw this week was a more skeptical bunch of newsmen, and a White House that has also learned some lessons… thus a few backtracking statements stating to the fact, that heads of the Iranian government is not implicated.

The more important question that should be made is not where they are coming from, but where are these weapons going to? The answer to this question is that they are going to Shi’ite militias that The U.S has contact with, because the current Iraq government is Shi’ite led. My question is, if the U.S. government has communications with these leaders, why not move for a political talk, instead of overt, engaging, and hostile language?

I again assert, that this is a power struggle.

It’s ridiculous quite frankly, this is yet another case to support the argument, that until The Bush Administration can get going with a political solution in Iraq, no amount of military action will ever succeed.

  1. I just thought that I would add this video for laughs.. I love the heads, knees, and toes analogy… Kevin Bacon being the source of all evil.. And that Americans should invade America..

  2. Bush is such a clear liar.

He even gets caught in the middle of his own lies.

Too many lies to keep track of, that’s why he seems so confused all the time.
