Is Al Gore Running?
Is Al Gore running? Is the actual winner of the 2000 U.S. Presidential Elections, going to run for The Presidency of The United States? I have to admit, I’m one of the individuals who actually think he’s running. After winning an Oscar for his documentary An Inconvenient Truth and becoming an even stronger candidate by actually letting his guard down and showing a little personality.
Because, let’s face it, poor Al Gore was like a robot back then, when he ran against George W. Bush. I ask myself, why wasn’t he like this before. Just imagine if Al Gore actually claimed the Presidency back in 2000, I’m not saying that the world would be a better place because of it, but I’m thinking it wouldn’t be in a hellish spot it is in right now in terms of International credibility and the war in Iraq.
So. Is he running? Just because he hasn’t announced it yet, doesn’t mean that he isn’t going to run. Considering that the race is starting earlier than ever before, I think he may just be waiting for the democratic candidates to kill themselves off first.
I think he has until September, or October at the latest, to announce his plans. And believe me, a man who has spent his entire life as a politician, will not back down, now that he is in his final laps of his political career, and his popularity as high as never before.
In the end, Hollywood may want to claim him, but the clamor of Washington D.C. is almost too loud for a seasoned politician like Al Gore to deny.
You can quote me here, everyone, I said it today, watch out for Al Gore come September or October. I think the top three democratic candidates coming out of 2007 will be Senator Hillary Clinton, Senator Barack Obama, and Oscar Winner Al Gore. (What, no John Edwards? well, maybe)
