Hillary Suspends, Obama Makes History, On To November!

It’s time to rally behind Barack Obama. I make it no secret that I have been a Hillary Clinton supporter from the very start. Her courage to stand up for so many issues that she believes in is astounding. In a male dominated political landscape, she stood out, not because she was a Clinton, but because she was Hillary. But the end of the line, at least for this campaign, stopped just the other night, where her opponent, Barack Obama clinched the democratic nomination for President of The United States.

It has been circulated that Hillary Clinton will address a crowd of her supporters come Saturday and officially suspend her bid for The White House. In that speech, she will fully support Barack Obama as the official nominee, and I hope that her supporters will heed that call. Indeed, it is time to rally behind Barack Obama, anyone else would be disastrous for the nation, and I believe for the rest of the world. His opponent, John McCain, is simply not the man to lead The United States.

As Barack Obama makes history once again, I hope he can make history once more, by becoming the first African American to be The President of The United States. For such a tumultuous history that the U.S. has had, for this to happen shows the strength of the nation. For a Filipino American, I am proud of this moment, of this great man. And I will have to show my appreciation in no other way that by voting for him. I hope other Filipino Americans vote the same way.

  1. Hillary suspends, but did not end, her campaign.

To continue her hold on her delegates so she can have leverage to demand vice presidency?
