Hillary and Barack Meet In Washington
It’s been buzzing in all the newsrooms since late last night, in fact no one knew about it until it was already happening, but it seems Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton met in Washington last night for a private discussion on a few issues. What they talked about is still being speculated upon, where they talked is also a mystery, but suffice it to say, it was a last minute rendezvous that left the media scrambling to find out the who, what, where, when, and how of this last minute secret meeting.
In any case, it’s fair to say, that party unity was probably a key topic, as well as Hillary’s role in an Obama campaign, and most importantly, in an Obama presidency. There’s been speculation that Hillary could go back to the Senate, be offered a Supreme Court seat, or most importantly, The Vice Presidency. This is probably why Hillary Clinton has chosen to suspend her campaign, and not permanently drop out. She is still keeping her delegates, but she’s getting way too much pressure to keep this going. Even her long time supporters are calling on her to end this fiasco, and start to fully endorse Barack Obama, which also means giving all of her delegates over to him.
With the general elections just five months away, there’s no more time to play games, John McCain is already making his moves.
My hope, Barack Obama will not pick Hillary Clinton for his Vice President. I know that I’m a big supporter of Hillary Clinton, but I’m a bigger supporter of not having John McCain elected as president, and this means having Barack Obama keep his image of a change agent, and I’m sorry to say, most people just don’t see Hillary Clinton as a candidate of Change.
