Gloria Arroyo: Always The Politician
I couldn’t believe my eyes, as I read a post over at Uniffors.com, as Manuel B. received a text from The Arroyo camp which read,
Let’s try to be true Christians and pray for God’s healing powers to benefit Cory in body and attitude. Might be the Lord’s way to convert us all. In the process unifying Pinoys who will then discard selfishness and bring progress to our country and especially minimize poverty. Please pass.
Stooping so low, in their political need to stem the tide against their Administration, that they would use the illness of Former President Cory Aquino. Manuel’s response was blunt, to the point, and in my opinion — justified,
Cory’s attitude is ok. She has colon cancer. SHE DOES NOT HAVE CANCER OF THE SOUL.
Cancer of the Soul, an apt term indeed. This is Gloria Arroyo, the politician. No friend too close, to use them as a political asset.
