George Bush Listened To Tingog.com
OK, maybe he didn’t actually read our previous blog post saying that The Bush Administration didn’t know the meaning of a political solution. Because, yesterday, wouldn’t you know it. After Secretary Rice set up a meeting requesting another 100 billion as a supplement for Iraq and Afghanistan, she concluded by saying that The United States would be joining a meeting with Iran and Syria, which was initiated by the Iraqi government.
This comes only after two weeks in which Bush asserted his stance that America would not come to talks with Iran until they dismantled their Nuclear Enrichment Program. Also after weeks of heavy rhetoric, many speculations of a possible attack on Iran, as well as reports coming from top military officials that they would resign if America initiated an attack on Iran… and so on and so forth.
This is good news, as this Bush Administration shows signs of finally realizing that diplomacy is the key.

Iraqi officials had been pushing for such a meeting for several months, but Bush administration officials refused until the Iraqi government reached agreement on pressing domestic matters, including guidelines for nationwide distribution of oil revenue and foreign investment in the country’s immense oil industry, administration officials said. The new government of Iraq maintains regular ties with Iran.
“I would note that the Iraqi government has invited Syria and Iran to attend both of these regional meetings,” Ms. Rice told a Senate panel on Tuesday, in discussing the talks, which will include Britain, Russia, and a host of international organizations and Middle Eastern countries.(via)

Diplomacy may be the key, but if you listened to the briefing by one of the US generals (can’t remember who exactly now), it may only be because US forces are simply stretched too thin between Iraq and Afghanistan, and the Democrats. hehe. He did say there’s still the Air Force and Navy assets. And of course Israel. But ever wonder how Iran got up and running so quickly in the A-Bomb making business?
DJB, good one. Yes, and I’m also assuming that the threatening of resignation by top ranking military officials may have had something to do with it as well.
And yes, oh yes, who can forget America’s representative in the middle east, Israel.
I figure that Ahmadinejad will not be in power for too long, internal politics as well as the Iranian private sector are growing weary of his craziness.
