Election Update: Senate Surveys

February & March 2007 SWS Senate Survey

March 2007 Senate Survey

March 2007 Senate Survey

Seven Contenders

According to Inquirer.net, with regards to the latest survey, there are seven (7) fighting for the last four (4) slots in The Magic 12.

Honasan (29 percent)
Arroyo and Aquino (28 percent)
Sotto and Osmeña (26 percent)
Pimentel (25 percent)
Defensor (21 percent)

Candidates Still In Play

With the elections drawing near, it’s almost impossible to catch up with the above seven candidates, but I think the following candidates still have a chance, considering if they still have any campaign funds to dip their hand into. Although, Cesar Montano’s promised allotment will probably arrive around May 15, just in time for the next elections maybe.

Sonia M. Roco (19%)
Juan Miguel F. Zubiri (18%)
Vicente P. Magsaysay (17%)
Cesar Montano (17%)
Prospero Pichay (16%)

The Hopeless

These are the hopeless, and I’m actually happy that none of them made it any higher in the surveys, including Trillanes, just read my previous posts as to why I have not condoned his actions.

Antonio Trillanes IV (13%)
Richard Gomez (10%)
Teresa Oreta (10%)
Anna Coseteng (9%)
Luis (Chavit) Singson (7%)

  1. Happy Easter, Nick.

  2. [...] Tingog.com there’s his take on the senate [...]

  3. @Schumey, thanks for the greeting. I hope you had a wonderful Easter Holiday. I haven’t been able to update the blog as much as I have wanted to in the past days, but I thought maybe the Holy Week deserved a little break from politics.

  4. What is this website, when I open this website I notice a Philippine politician website. Hoping all this promises and platforms will come true after they win in this coming election, hoping this is a public service.

    1. As of now the politician spending millions of peso to win in this election, but if you notice how much salary per month they can earn.

    2. I work in abroad as engineer, if you compare my salary with one of politician person even the lowest politician, may be quit bigger my salary. But If you notice other government politician they have only PhP 30,000 a month of salary but they have a lot of big houses, cars, maid to serve them and etc, they have a very high life style, but the amount of salary they earn is not enough even the maintenance of their houses.

    3. The other politicians, after they win in this election they never do their job, its happen fighting and fighting and talking a rubbish word to the other politicians member in a whole term once they if seat in Malacaniang.

    4. Now the Philippines is 1st in Asia for corruption and still GROWING-UP. This is very bad to hear but this true, hopefully if one of this persons win in this coming election, I will pray to God that they will do their job honestly, not for them self interest. Hoping they will help the Philippine government to move upward not to move downward. I this time the Philippine is going down because of over politics.

    5. The Philippine form of government is almost same with United States of America, this United State they have 24 senator, Governor, Mayors and etc. Imagine the land area of United State is quit bigger in our land area, why we need to make 24 senators, this is additional cost in our government, may be we need to reduce the other government position to save big amount of money. We have a lot of position in government but still useless. We have a lot of law but useless.

    6. Hoping they will help the government to move upward, because last time our economy in Philippine is TIGER IN ASIA, now is a RAT IN ASIA. Hoping no politician wars inside Malacaniang. Hoping stop the corruption in Philippines, stop self interest “UNAHIN NA MUNA ANG BAYAN WAG BULSA MUNA”.
