Could We Live in Peace, Please?
Edit:
I took down the video because it was inaccurate. The Islamic god Allah is not similar to the Judeo-Christian God. The differences between Jehovah Jireh/Jesus’ Abba and Allah are stark. You need not look further that the texts themselves to know.
While I certainly do not approve of the religion itself, I have compassion for the Muslims. You did not deserve to be maimed in Abu Ghraib or elsewhere. But neither do the Christians and the Jews. No person, created by God, should have had to suffer in the name of a religion that is leading people into blindness.
This is politically incorrect. But I would rather be politically wrong and then flamed than betray the Truth I know.
Bottom line is, we should live in peace.
Video Description
The atrocities done by human beings towards each other is appalling. But we in the Philippines were able to live in a semblance of peace, generally. Moslems are able to live side by side with Christians, on a daily basis. Can we do that with the rest of the world please? No more to concentration camps, no more to people torturing each other, no more to the rape of men, women and children!
While we get down on our knees and pray for the nations and pray for peace, let us also take steps to ensure that our world remains in peace: let us not hurt each other.
Let the one who has no sin cast the first stone, as Jesus said. Let me take that out of context and say, please, no more casting stones at each other. All we’ll have at the end of the exercise..
..Are bloody foreheads and a mess for our volunteer nurses to clean up. :p
(But that makes for experience to be put in their resumes. Something good can come out of it after all. :p)

I cannot be the balm to the hurt that had been caused. But on the behalf of my brothers and sisters in Christ, here is my apology.
Though I truly believe that the god as Islam depicts as Allah has a different character from the Judeo-Christian God, I believe the genuine desire of the Moslems to believe in the one true God. Let us help pray for our world as more confusion and violence sets in.
As the anti-drugs campaign says: “Save the user, jail the pusher,” let us separate the Moslems from the religion that cements them in deception. Only in the Word will we be able to accomplish that.

Lorie,
Unfortunately, oftentimes, the individuals who make the decisions of the world do not always see peace as a means to an end, but instead look toward power, weaponry, and the old world thoughts of imperialism.
I often come back to the Pareto principle, and sometimes come to a saddening conclusion that most of the bad effects of the world today are the result of the decisions that have been made by the few and very powerful.
Thus, I still believe that those who are not in power, must do everything to unite and voice out their grievances.. The power of a multitude of voices will sometimes sway the course of history..
nenyalorien’s piece “could we live in peace, pls” is one more reason why we cannot live in peace. statements such as: “As the anti-drugs campaign says: “Save the user, jail the pusher,†let us separate the Moslems from the religion that cements them in deception…” shows extreme lack of sensitivity to the feelings and beliefs of Muslims whom the writer feigns to “embrace” in peace. How can you do that while insulting the very beliefs of these people? If YOU think you are right in your Christian beliefs as to be so “righteously-driven” to speak so condescendingly about Muslims and Islam, don’t you think that these Muslims also do not think that they are right in their beliefs, and that calling their religion a deception would not give them their own reason to be so SURE about what they might want to do or say in response to your affront? And you claim to talk for peace? If this is the type of peace-making that you will practice, better keep this to yourself, and help the world become more peaceful with your silence.
Well said alan dais.
The world will be at peace when the society matures enough to render religion and the need to believe in a god obsolete.
What do Muslims believe?
Muslims believe in One, Unique, Incomparable God (called Allah in Arabic);in the Angels created by Him; in the prophets through whom His revelation were brought to mankind; in the Day of Judgement and individual accountability for actions; in God’s complete authority over human destiny and in life after death. Muslims believe in a chain of prophets starting with Adam and including Noah, Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Job, Moses, Aaron, David, Solomon, Elias, Jonah, John the Baptist, and Jesus, peace be upon them. But God’s final message to man, a reconfirmation of the eternal message and a summing-up of all that has gone before was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) through Angel Gabriel
What is Islam?
Islam is not a new religion, but the same truth that God revealed through all His prophets to every people. For a fifth of the world’s population, Islam is both a religion and a complete way of life. Muslims follow a religion of peace, mercy, and forgiveness, and the majority have nothing to do with the extremely grave events which have come to be associated with their faith.
