Constituent Assembly? Please Not With The Arroyo Administration!
I think that we have to be cognisant of the fact that this administration is THE WRONG ADMINISTRATION to implement a new constitution.
It may be that, in fact, a parliamentary system will help our nation move forward. But we should also take into consideration, the party and individuals that will be making the decision as to who will make up the Consituent Assembly, if indeed Arroyo’s plan were to push forward.
Let us be hesitant and think things through, and not be rash. I feel, that a new administration with oversight will help ease the fear of filipinos regarding a constituent assembly and possibly a new form of government. My trust is lacking with this administration to implement such a bold and new government.
