A Witness To History
Tomorrow, I will be witness to history, to a man whose time has come, and for an electorate clamoring for CHANGE. I will be out in full force, along with many other Barack Obama supporters, and I will cast my vote along with millions of other Americans, and bear witness, in hope, that my vote will be part of the votes that will thrust this Senator into becoming the new President of The United States of America.
Civil rights leaders will say, those who marched with Dr. King, that they lived to see the day, the first black Party Presidential Candidate, and now, in just a little more than a day, could be, our next president. As a Filipino, I am almost jealous, that what can happen in America, has not happened yet in The Philippines. But I will let go of that jealousy, for now, because maybe, just maybe, Filipinos the world over, will be inspired and CHANGE may just come in the form of an inspired Filipino citizenry. Much to be desired, much to ask for, but I can dream.
But then again, i shall digress, whatever your political leanings, Obama or McCain, if you are Filipino-American, please vote, it is your duty, and it is your right.
As for myself, I shall transform into a giddy little high school kid, waiting in line, to bear witness to something magical. A moment in history, that will happen just once, the fulfillment that all men are created equal, even when it comes to the Presidency of The United States of America.
The Philippines it seems would favour a McCain presidency according to a Gallup IF THE WORLD COULD VOTE poll…

Obama is only a small ranking communist loyal to an army of thieves ready to plunder the remaining wealth, health and future of Americans. The only “change” will be the complete reversal of what the United States once stood for and the few pennies left in the citizen’s pockets. You are but one more fool who took the bait.

And Yes, the Philippines favored McCain because you’ve totally succumbed to a “white is right” ideology instilled first by the Spanish Conquistidors, then by white American subjugators. Where were the Philippinos when we built America? When we died for civil rights? While we’re in combat with terrorists, but they are instead in “medical positions or administrative positions”, in essence, in the rear with the gear. Par for the course for you cowards.
McCain is a racist… He continuously voted against MLK Day until the NFL took the Superbowl outta Arizona! He also called Asians “gooks†on natl TV several times and refused to apoligize. While he was in fact referring to his Vietnamese captors, running for the highest office on the planet means that you’re disciplined enough to represent with class, as a true “statesman†of America. By uttering the word “Gookâ€, he was slandering ALL Asians! And the idiots in the Philippines STILL preferred him over President-elect Obama. While there is only “1″ race in the P.I., there are 2 “classes!†White and not-white…
When I was in school, the Guidance Counselor would ask young black kids what they wanted to be when they grew up. Whenever we said “Presidentâ€, they’d tell us that’s not for us, and to try being a Sanitation Worker because they get paid very well.
We can build this country, die for Civil Rights, protect it in disproportionate numbers, but cannot be it’s President. We can be castrated, lynched, burned alive, raped, separated from loved ones, skinned, amputated etc, but we cannot be it’s President.

However, I’m wholeheartedly impressed with white America because if it wasn’t for them, Barack Obama would not be the President-elect. Even if he’s assassinated prior to Inauguration, no one can take away the fact that white America finally chose someone for the content of their character, not the color of their skin. For that reason, I’ve rededicated my allegiance in protecting the greatest country ever to exist. I love America, the land that my ancestors built. And should the Aryan Nation assassinate President-elect Obama, I could never hate America, as they’ve forever spoken in support of President-elect Obama. No one can change or mislead the fact that a Black man was elected to the Presidency. I will however hate the idiotic racists that harm him. Unfortunately, all Blacks do not think like me and they’ll be retaliating with mad reciprocity at heart. Being a member of the most racially harmonic institution ever to exist on this planet (U.S. Armed Forces), my idealogy is different, as is the ideology of the hundreds of troops under my command, black, white, Hispanic, Asian and other.
We’re equal opportunity ass-kickers. If there is a “race-warâ€, and if called upon, we’ll kick black ass, white ass and any flavor of ass detrimental to good order and discipline of America.
