I stole that headline from RG Cruz, and I’m sure you already know what that means. Ces Drilon and the two others who were kidnapped were released. RG has posted a behind the scenes look at what happened at their newsroom, and how the reaction was nothing less than celebratory. I join RG Cruz, ABS-CBN, Ces Drilon’s family, and the family of the two other victims in their happiness to get their loved ones (and employee) back.

In any case (I’ve been using this term a lot lately), I am happy. However, I wasn’t so keen on ABS-CBN and the families’ statement on the release. It started out heartfelt, then all of a sudden felt more like a photo op, only a statement version of it.
And yes, Razon was thanked, and so was Loren Legarda.
No mention of ransom? I’m sure I know what Butch is thinking at this moment.
