No Miracle In Maguindanao, Only Cheating

Our hero Musa Dimasidsing, has not died in vain. Maguindanao may still be saved, because Musa and other Board of Election Inspectors (BEIs) were brave enough to keep the Election Returns (ERs) of Pagalungan in Maguindanao, and because they also did not succumb to pressures of signing a petition saying that the elections were clean and peaceful, Koko Pimentel and his lawyers may finally have the documentation needed to mount a strong argument in front of The Supreme Court (that is of course, if Koko doesn’t decide to be his own lawyer again..)

And so, the results are in, and indeed even the 38 precincts in the 36 ERs of Pagalungan show that the original Maguindanao Canvass of Votes submitted by Lintang Bedol were fraudulent, as well as the newly re-canvassed Maguindanao votes using, according to COMELEC, “legitimate documents” are also most probably fraudulent.

The Pagalungan results, issued by the Special Board of Canvassers for Maguindanao, showed six Genuine Opposition candidates, four Team Unity candidates and two independents making it to the Top 12.

TU’s Jamalul Kiram III placed first with 2,732 votes, followed by Genuine Opposition’s Antonio Trillanes IV with 1,911 and Cesar Montano, also of TU, 1,511.

The candidate who placed last, Eduardo Orpilla of Kilusang Bagong Lipunan, got 18 votes.

Opposition lawyers believe this is the first authentic set of election documents to come out of Maguindanao province.

While the Pagalungan ERs were not numerically significant, it was enough to show that the provincial certificates of canvass (COCs) presented by Bedol, as well as the recanvassed tally, were likely fraudulent, Genuine Opposition lawyers said.

The controversial Maguindanao CoC has the administration senatorial slate Team Unity sweeping the top 12 positions in the provincial tally, with 19 other candidates getting zero votes.

In the original CoC presented by Bedol, former Ilocos Sur Gov. Luis “Chavit” Singson ranked number one; but it was Zubiri who topped the Maguindanao vote in the recanvass.

Among the candidates who received zero votes in the provincial tally but who got votes in the Pagalungan ERs were GO Senators-elect Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III, Alan Peter Cayetano, Panfilo Lacson and Antonio Trillanes IV. (via Inquireer.net)

This goes to show that indeed, Koko Pimentel and his lawyers should move for the counting of the ERs instead of using the “legitimate documents” that were used by The COMELEC during the re-canvass. Or, because of the process of the canvassing itself, and the massive amount of energy needed to fake the ERs, it will be better for Pimentel to go in front of The Supreme Court and move for exclusion of The Maguindanao votes and have Migz Zubiri file and election protest and count the ERs afterwards.

The process of canvassing the votes is as follows,

1. Votes will be counted by the BEI at the polling places
2. Results of the BEI will be written in the Election Returns (ER) and submitted to the municipal city canvasser
3. The results of the municipal city canvass will be written on the Certificate of Canvass (COC)
4. The individual COC’s is sent to the provincial canvasser which will be summed up into the Provincial Certificate of Canvass (PCOC)
5. The PCOC is sent to the Phil International Convention Center (PICC) in Manila to conduct the final National Canvass.

Because of such an obvious fraudulent result that had Migz Zubiri “coincidentally” top the Maguindanao Elections after the re-canvassing, the nation sees the cheating that is being done right in front of its face. The shame can only go to The COMELEC as well as Migz Zubiri who refuses to acknowledge that he is benefiting from cheating.
