Although long overdue, Lintang Bedol, may finally face arrest if he doesn’t show up on Monday along with local officials in Maguindanao. They were summoned to explain and put forth any legitimate documents that could explain the unlikely 12-0 Maguindanao sweep by TEAM Unity.

Lintang Bedol, as you may have known, has been the target of my anger, and so many other Filipino’s anger for quite a while. In his clear attempts to avoid his responsibility of explaining what happened in Maguindanao, he has tried to avoid the Comelec’s directive to appear before them. It has been around 10 days since he was ordered to appear before the National Board of Canvassers.

You will also recall that the Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV) reported that no one actually saw the canvassing that took place in Provincial Canvass in Maguindanao. This was confirmed by Lintang Bedol himself.

With so many anomalies in Maguindanao, and his lack of respect to appear before the National Board of Canvassers, I’m surprised he hasn’t been issued a warrant of arrest already. But with Abalos heading Comelec, why are we even surprised? If Abalos suddenly went into hiding himself, I wouldn’t be surprised. Nothing that the Comelec does these days are a surprise to me.

Does anyone care to bet on whether or not Lintang Bedol will be at the PICC on Monday?
