Laguna Rep. Danton Bueser found with 20 Bullets

I was about to call it quits for today’s blogging, but I found an interesting and disturbing report.

Airport police stopped Laguna Rep. Danton Bueser from boarding a flight for San Francisco Friday night after bullets and a pistol magazine were found inside his bag as it passed the final X-ray check at the Centennial Terminal of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport.

Bueser, who said he did not own the 20 cal.-380 bullets and the magazine, had already gotten past two other X-ray machines when he was stopped at the final security check manned by Philippine Airlines personnel.

Can anyone else make sense of this, or is it just me? How is it possible to go past through two other X-ray machines and then get stopped on the third one?

I’m not sure what to think of this report. Was it just an accident, because clearly no sane human being is going to leave that in his bag, especially heading towards The United States.

Is this political, accidental, coincidence, conspiracy, all of the above, some of the above, I don’t know. I’ll wait until there’s more reports on this one.

  2. Sir,

I am not a daughter of the congressman, I’m one of his niece. My father is a first cousin of Congressman Bueser.

According to my father, here’s what happened in the airport. There were three x-ray machines that a passenger has to pass before boarding a flight. In the first 2 xray machines, there was no bullets detected (Of course, he did not carry any bullet.)

When he was about to go to the third machine, he saw that the line was a bit long. So he decided to take a stroll LEAVING HIS LUGGAGE in one side. It was only in the third machine that the 20 rusty (it was) bullets were detected.

I would assume carelessness and pranks (and a dash of conspiracy :) explains the unfortunate incident.

It would be better if we wait for my uncle to give his personal account of the situation.

  3. Jowana, thank you for the clarification. Yes, let’s wait for the statements of you uncle…
