As Predicted: Lintang Bedol Is Free

What have I been saying these past weeks? After all the crap that’s been hurled at the public with regards to Maguindanao and Election Supervisor Lintang Bedol, in the end, Bedol would be free to roam the streets like a rat out on an all night buffet.

What was the order of The Comelec? For Lintang Bedol to submit an affidavit within TEN (10) DAYS as to why he should not be cited for contempt. As last I recall, The Comelec has been harping this line ever since May. What the hell is new?

NOTHING.

Jail Bedol, put him behind bars. That damn affidavit should have been submitted already. No need to wait ten whole days. Why does Lintang Bedol need ten days to explain his running around and hiding? But, we can’t blame Comelec. If they would charge Lintang Bedol with much more than the “Public Relations” contempt charge that they are supposedly trying hard to slap him with, then the higher charges of election fraud and election crimes would entail that there really was cheating in Maguindanao and that the results of the canvass are null and void.

We Are Paying For Bedol

Not only have the voting public in Maguindanao paid dearly for the botched up Election that happened, but The People of The Philippines are paying for everything with regards to Bedol. His security, probably his hotel stays, his airplane rides, food maybe, what else? After all, he’s still an employee of The Comelec, and we all know how good The Comelec treats its own people, especially those who have done such a fine job at “Supervising” an election.

That’s right, we are paying for Bedol in more ways than one.
