This happens even in The U.S, but the crab mentality that you speak of, may be in play for those Senators who are planning a move for the Presidency..

The other senators may just have simple selfish reasons of maintaining their power and staying alive while pleasing their constituents who fund their political aspirations…

Anyway, before I go on a long litany, thanks for the comment, it’s always nice at least, to see some Filipinos realize the current political environment is not conducive in moving our nation forward..
