Vidal Tells President Arroyo To Stay Out of Erap Trial Decision
CEBU Archbishop Ricardo Cardinal Vidal has confirmed meeting with the President but denied that they talked about the impending verdict on former president Joseph Estrada’s plunder trial. He, however, admitted to advising President Arroyo to “allow the court to do its work and give us the right decision.”
Vidal said that he does not know any details, but reports have said that The President confided in him about the decision of the court.
No matter what happens, I don’t doubt Cardinal Vidal on this issue. Arroyo on the other hand is definitely doing a Public Relations blitz before the verdict is handed down. But, I’ve been going to masses headed by Cardinal Vidal ever since I can remember, and I have always held Cardinal Vidal in high esteem. Arroyo is far below the caliber of integrity of Vidal.
