More Arrogance From Mayor Tomas Osmeña
Yet another slap in the face to residents as well as schoolchildren of Lahug. Mayor Tomas Osmeña now wants De los Santos and the rest of the citizens to beg for the school building. In a recent press conference he told the media that he will give back the funding for the construction of the building as well as the fuel subsidies…. next year.
Osmeña, who apparently reconsidered after hearing that schoolchildren in the barangay asked for the classrooms when classes started yesterday, said he wants something he can show Lahug residents in case de los Santos again claims that he did not give their barangay any project.
“They will get their building but I don’t think it will be done this year. Let her raise funds for her school building and what she cannot raise, I will cover… All they have to do is ask for it in writing, stating `Can I please have this?’ and that’s fine, you will get it,†he said. (via Sunstar)
Again, Tomas, since you are part of a political clan, you should know what kind of words that will be hurled at you. For your case, all you really have to do is show the citizens what you have done for them if you really need to. But this is not your money, this is not your playground, this is a government and a people that you are bound to serve.
It’s like a father ordered to pay child support and saying, “I’ve paid child support, but my ex-wife keeps telling our children lies, so in order to prove it, I won’t be giving them child support from now on”. So you would rather prove your point than feed and clothe your children? This is yet another great amount of logic and decision making coming from our elected officials.
Shame on Brgy. Captain De los Santos for not sucking it up, and shame on Mayor Tomas Osmeña for having to make the citizens beg. If there ever was a hall of shame, I’m sure both of them would be in it.

Where have all the good politicians gone? But then again, maybe part of being a good politician is doing what might be unpopular but beneficial to the majority.
But this act, is just not acceptable though.
well all i can say for the city of cebu is we are proud that we have this kind of mayor who support and helps the investors not the public. LOL. you see we the invetegative-reporting we do dig-ups on government office in cebu and we find very interesting things. specially irregularities and we gather enough information since we begun this kind of campaign to let the public knows the truth behind the lake. so we are very much noblesse oblige to give you what you need.
