Beauty is all around us. As men, we know of only one real beauty and that is of a woman. I drool at the site of real cute ladies. And in many cases it’s truly innocent.

I think it’s alright to admire beatiful girls. There is a reason why God made such beauty in this world.

However, when I was recently emailed a recommendation of a website domai.com, that at first glance would get any guy’s attention, I quickly passed it off as pornographic.

But I quickly realized that this is of no such thing.

I really don’t know what to make of it. I don’t want to sound like a prude and say this is totally wrong, but I don’t want to seem too macho and have people think i treat women as sex objects. The fact is that Philippine cinema has benefitted from sexy and borderline pornographic movies. Numerous actresses have made their start with rated-R movies. And even in todays Philippine Showbiz, a transition into sexy movies could be a good career move.

So, what is Domai.com all about?

Its website motto is “Tasteful photos of beautiful women”. Is it really about showing the beauty of nude women. Tastefully done. Well photographed. All amateurs.

Still, I have seen better and more artistic photo sets. The website still lacks in total artistry, but domai.com isn’t pornographic either. In fact, a majority of the pictures are amateur in nature.
So, I asked myself this question. Eventhough, Philippines is becoming more westernized day in and day out, can it appreciate a website such as this? Can a nation with such a deep Christian background, be open to the fact that women can be photographed in the nude? I mean, we did have previous articles relating to the November Maxim and FHM cover girls, but sexy photos are different from full frontal artistic yet nude photos.
Face it, eventhough The Philippines is now in a globalized world, in many parts of the country we are still as conservative as they come.

Beautiful nude women. I love them. I love to admire them. As a filipino, we aren’t as culture shocked as we were decades ago. Yet, domai.com may still be too liberal for The Philippines. But then again, I’m just your normal 20 something filipino male.
