What To Make Of DJ Montano Vs. Brian Gorrell
It was bound to happen. This is a post on the DJ Montano and Brian Gorrell controversy. I haven’t wrote about it, but it is getting much hype and sensationalism around the blogosphere. We can’t know for sure if any of Gorrel’s accusations are true, after all, there is no evidence, just accusations.
Brian Gorrell has accused DJ Montano of owing him $70,000, money that is yet to be returned to him. This is money, that during their friendship and subsequent relationship, was allegedly transferred to Montano as capital for business startups, including a restaurant.

Brian says he doesn’t want to go to court, because he doesn’t relish the thought of spending days or years tied up in The Philippine court system, but then again, he is already going at it in the courts of public opinion. He’s winning. But, if Brian Gorrell refuses to go to court, then why not just put up all the goods he has on DJ Montano, up on his blog?
All the documents! All the communications! All the emails! Everything!
He has to choose an avenue in which all these “evidence” will be put to light. And sadly, Brian Gorrell has not done that. He has spread the dirty secrets of the socialite underworld, the stuff gossip magazines are made of, but he has not put up a shred of evidence.
Frankly, I don’t know who to believe.
But, could this be just a case of a nasty split, coupled with technology, we may have ourselves a real life breakup done the Web 2.0 way, utilizing “The Blog”.
I don’t want to jump the gun here. So, I’m leaving two conclusions.
If Brian Gorrell is making up the story of the lost $70,000, then he definitely should be slapped with libel!
If Brian Gorrel is telling the truth, then damn DJ Montano, keep on blogging Brian, but please, if you wish not to go to court, then photocopy those damn Western Union Slips, and post it up on the blog.
And oh, I am not a Brian Gorrel fanatic, so if I did miss any evidence that he has put up, then please inform me, because I have checked his blog, read the papers, heard the radio interviews, they are all full of accusations, but they haven’t given me the smoking gun that I’m looking for to make an honest to goodness decision on whether this guy is for real.

Gorell has actually already published photocopies of some slips, but people keep trying to shut down the blog so maybe they’re not there anymore??
Mari, if you have a specific url, link, where exactly that photocopy is shown, please let me know.
I think I saw photocopies of Western Union slips on his blog too. Just am not sure.

I think Brian is taking the Filipino people for a ride. First he softened us up with his scandalous blog knowing our penchant for tsismis and crab mentality now he’s asking for donations. Hello??
Who’s scamming who now??
Yesterday Brian posted more copies of receipts of money sent to the thief. Money that Montano says he never received or was used for “expenses”. I note he said on Filipino television that he “was not a thief” and that he’d “never taken drugs”. Right…’cause he hasn’t (rolling on the floor laughing) - I’m sure the Embassy and other club doormen will back him up in that - paid the right bribe of course. He’s going to look pretty stupid when the photos of his snorting cocaine come out. He and Celine Lopez - his partner in crime. Funny thing - truth always ALWAYS, has a way of outing.
Brian hasn’t proven anything yet,what he has proven as of this time is that he sent money and received by DJ (less than 70,000 ),for what purpose,no one really know.anyway,im inviting everyone out there to share any info you know about this.Mr. Gorrell has cross the line already,and a group of concerned Filipinos are not taking this lightly.
