Christian Controversy Over Filipino Blogger Bryanboy and His Article Post
Gay, Filipino, a Blogger, and now because of recent pictures, you can call Bryanboy controversial. But, then again, some would contend that Bryanboy has been controversial for a while now. A few days ago, on October 30. Bryanboy posted an article with a reposted picture that would send quick and fierce criticism from the Philippine Catholic Church and Filipino Christians in general. The article post itself was titled “Jesus is our #@*king Homeboy”
The pictures showed a British man doing a Bryanboy style pose beside a statue of Jesus Christ on a cross. The british man also put a bag on the right hand of the Statue of Jesus Christ. And below the picture, the following caption “I love British people. I really do. And Jesus, of course. Jesus is our @#*kin homeboy!”
And what is the Bryanboy pose? Bag in right hand, raise it, then put your left hand on your hips, and pose.
The controversy was enough to even start a petition, which at the time of writing has only 48 total signatures. As to the fallout because of this picture, I’m not really sure that it’s a fallout at all.
The petition states the following, We endorse the Bryanboy is an antichrist Petition to Catholic Church. This just goes to show you that nothing is sacred anymore, and anything goes even when it comes Jesus Christ, or Muhammed, or Buddha, or any other Religion’s God or Prophet.
There are definitely more controversial pictures out there, but when it comes to Jesus Christ just be ready for the backlash. There is such a thing as freedom of speech, but don’t expect to be invited near a church anytime soon Bryanboy.
Think about it. By putting a bag on the right hand of Jesus Christ, that British man is basically implying that Jesus either supports Bryanboy and the gay lifestyle or that Jesus Christ is gay. I don’t know what that guys was actually trying to convey. Or maybe he just thought that the picture would look good.
