Writing Project Musa Dimasidsing: Day Two

It’s day two of the group writing project for Musa Dimasidsing, the media hasn’t at all failed in its duty to cover this senseless murder that became of Musa. A few more bloggers are joining the writing project, and we will also include a columnist who has written an opinion piece with regards to Musa Dimasidsing.

Schumey wrote, A Voice In The Night, In a country where many hope against hope, a new hero stepped up to the plate. Disregarding safety, Musa Dumasidsing, a COMELEC designated election supervisor in Maguindanao reported irregularities during last month’s elections. . . Dimasidsing’s life should not go to waste. The people must now make accountable the perpetrators of this dastardly and cowardly act.

Cathy at The Ca t wrote, Whistleblower, teacher and politics, Teaching is not supposed to be a high-risk profession like police authorities and military personnel.

Dean Jorge Bocobo from Philippine Commentary writes, Song of Musa Dimasidsing. I read and reread the poem, it is extremely beautiful in its simplicity and truth.

Pedestrian Observer writes, Maguindanao Poll Fraud Witness Shot Dead: Dimasidsing refusal to sign the petition may have caused him his life. This is what happens when one stands up against irregularities and the situation is aggravated when people in authority are inept, ignorant or arrogant devious conniving cheaters that insidiously perpetrate this kind of violence.

An honorable mention goes to Conrado de Quiros as he writes, Build him a shrine: I honor the man who more than anyone today, living or dead, truly deserves to be called a hero. One who has shown that he is willing not just to die for democracy but to live for it. This is not someone who died accidentally while carrying out his duties as an election official, this is someone who was murdered for living his life as a true educator.
