Writing Project Musa Dimasidsing: Day Four

It’s day four of the Group Writing Project for Musa Dimasidsing. I’ve been very moved, sometimes to tears, at the overwhelming compassion from fellow bloggers, and to those who have emailed me. From prominent journalists, to political bloggers, and even non-political bloggers, they have all written, and have become part of one voice.

To any and all bloggers, take up this challenge, we can make a difference. The process of change only needs that first step.

You can still submit your entry for day four until 12 noon today. The end of the group writing project will be this Wednesday.

Here are our Day Four entries,

Torn and Frayed writes, Murder of Musa Dimasidsing: enough is enough: Putting up with crap is all well and good, but there comes a point when you have to change the world instead of just putting up with it.

Rasheed Abou-Alsamh writes, Don’t Forget Musa Dimasidsing: But the whole culture of vote buying and snopaking election returns needs to be desperately changed and fast.

Erasmusa has written, Writing for Musa: As a blogger, the least I can do is to express my outrage. Is this the kind of lawlessness I would want to return to? Will there be justice for Musa and fair elections for the people of Maguindanao?

Tess Termulo has written, We Could Always Do Something: Let’s not wait until all our present-day heroes die one by one fighting the corruption in the land. If we can protect one another, we should. If we can pin down the assailants of Musa Dimasidsing and others who died just because they want to voice out the truth, let’s do all that we can…

Karlo of Postcard Headline has written, Musa Dumasidsing: Exposing the Need for Social Change: The problem with the killing of Musa Dimasidsing is the possibility that the cases would not be solved. The Maguindanaoan teachers will be too afraid to try to expose fraud next time if the culprits will not be put to justice now….

Connie Veneracion has written, Nothing makes sense: He was a district school supervisor who went public with information that says the government lied when it said the elections were fair and peaceful. Dimasidsing was killed with a gun at a time when a national gun ban was in effect. Without going into motives, which no one can really prove at this point, I still need to ask: Who should bear responsibility for his death?

  2. And yet, the Comelec is still as stubborn, arrogant, and blind of justice.

You’re right Nick, we are going to make a difference.

    Every step counts.

I truly applaud your efforts, I am saddened but I am grateful that Musa will not have died in vain, he will be remembered, and I hope his killer brought to justice.

What matters is that we are standing up because it is right.

We don’t know who killed Musa right? I hope Comelec will find out who killed this man. Sino ang may kasalanan, para sa akin, dapat death penalty

  4. @HAP, I certainly hope they find the killers and those who were behind this killing. But I myself, am not a supporter of the death penalty.
