Joey De Venecia Attends Anti Arroyo Rally
ZTE and NBN scandal whistleblower, Joey De Venecia spoke at the Anti Arroyo Rally held yesterday in Makati. As thousand flocked to show dismay against President Gloria Arroyo, Joey De Venecia started off his message by telling the First Gentleman to “back off”. Now, he’s no Martin Luther King Jr, and his tendency to emphasize the last syllable in his sentences were a bit annoying, but I think he was one of the speakers that the crowd welcomed. I can’t say I’m a big supporter of Joey, since if he’s a whistleblower indeed, then what about those irregularities done by his father?
I won’t elaborate further. But I do appreciate at least, what he has done to bring this issue to light. All I can say about the rally was that it definitely was a big crowd. An estimated 6,000 to 10,000.

Thanks for the video. I also noticed how he stresses the last syllable in every line. Speaking of which, I find it strange that he even pronounces the last syllable of his family name in the Castilian Spanish way. (de Venecia = “de VeneTHia”) I wonder if he has traced his geneology to Central/Nortern Spain.
I think Joey de Venecia gets to share the limelight with Jun Lozada for being one of the whistleblowers in the NBN deal. Let’s let him have his say but let’s not be too quick to make him a hero.
