J Passes Nursing Board Exam
Last June (2008), J, Bebot’s daughter took the nursing board exam in The Philippines, and just a few days ago, I learned that she passed. Bebot would have been proud, as I am proud of her. I know she has a bright future ahead of her. I’m just sad that Bebot is gone and that he did not live to know that his daughter was a board passer. I guess he knew, after all, J is a bright kid.
I’m still not in full blogging mode either, I know that President Arroyo’s State of The Nation Address otherwise known as the SONA for 2008 will be tomorrow so we will be writing about that extensively in the days to come, it is important what her view is on the state of our nation, and what is actually taking place. She will paint a rosy picture, but we know otherwise. I don’t want to dwell on the negative, but rather, we have to dwell on reality. And reality is, we’re still not in a good place as a nation.
Anyway, I just wanted to share this bit of info, as I am truly glad that J passed the nursing board exam. If ever Bebot’s family needed a few bright spots these days, it couldn’t have come at a better time.
Lastly, my cousin will be sending me the picture of Bebot, the picture that the lady who found him took of Bebot as he lay there on the shores of Masbate. According to THE NBI, Bebot most probably was still allive 15 days after the capsizing of The MV Princess of The Stars, and that weariness and hunger may have been the final cause for his death. He was still wearing a life vest and his body was still in good condition when they found him. I don’t think I will share the pictures here, it’s too personal. But I wish to convey to so many people, the warm condolences and greeting that I have received here, through email, and through phone, it does mean a lot.
