White Collar Crime:Imelda Marcos and Kenneth Lay

Imelda Marcos

Why is it that some individuals think that just because a criminal is Rich, lives in upper Manhattan, has a beach house in Maui, and drives a Porsche, that these individuals aren’t really criminals.

What exactly am I talking about? Well, I just read an article that glorifies the high society life of Imelda Marcos. And it just sparked something in me.

Ken LayAt some point you have to ditch those rose colored glasses and see the world as it is. It’s naive to even try to think that the wealth that Imelda so proclaims is all hers… it’s naive to think that she is an angel for the filipino people. The only reason she is still in the limelight is because of her extravagant nature during the Marcos Regime and the fact that the Traditional Politicians still back her..

I do not for one minute think that she deserves to be out in the free world. She deserves to be locked up like any other criminal. The fact that her crimes were done adorning her beautiful dresses and thousands of shoes does not mean anything. White collar crimes are just as dispicable as the blue collar type of crimes.. It’s time to realize that just because you look rich and wear armani and dawn a nice suit and tie, or in Imelda’s case Fancy dresses and shoes, doesn’t mean your clean as snow.

Former Enron CEO and Chairman Kenneth lay, if anyone knows who he is, is a great example of a crook in rich man’s clothing. These type of criminals are as low as the sewer rats that we walk above on.

I feel sorry for the Filipinos who have not seen the wolf in sheep’s clothing, who are as star-struck as this Bryanboy is. You live in your own world, where fashion reigns supreme, and that if you aren’t as fashion trendy as you seem to be, then you are nothing in their circle…

You close your eyes to the millions of Filipinos who have suffered the years of Dictatorship under Marcos. You lay claim to the fact that art was the main event during Imelda’s reign.. but what you do not state is the cost of that art… the cost of that art was millions upon millions of innocent yet proud Filipinos under oppression… You do not see that a government is complex and that art and culture is but one of the many facets of government… Economic policy, free speech, health, education, trade, political oversight, etc.

Yes, we all have our mistakes, but to turn the devil into an angel is another matter… and the fact that she has yet to repent for her faults is beyond even my power to forgive… but as a Christian, I will forgive… there is one even more mightier than I, which will be the final judge, however…..

So, to those who wish the wolf, that is Imelda, a bright future, and to forget the past, and deny the Filipino people justice.. then I hope that you may one day see the light.

I think the Philippine justice should scree all supreme court justices, for the marcos cases, for crying out loud the evidence is there,if marcos was alive today then he was convicted of fraud and looting 100 million times than Erap.We Pinoys in Europe are still waiting for Imelda to go to jail, there are no age limit for her to go to jail,we suffered too much of poverty during martial law.Imelda just kept going to New York shopping more than 1 million of jewelry for one day and this is a fact.See you in jail Imelda????

  2. Finally one man Mr.Lay says what I think all along that imelda is a shameless thief, with all those evidences, how could a provincial girl like her coulf afford to shop for 3million dollars in one day???she belongs to manila jail!
