Filipino Voices Open For Punditry
The silence was all too much for me, but I can finally say with full enthusiasm that Filipino Voices is online. The new collaborative blog focused on politics, government, and social commentary. In the spirit of unity, providing a multitude of voices, on multitude of issues facing our nation today.
It’s been a long week as we have put the final touches on FilipinoVoices.com, but I am hopeful that this will be a new dawn in The Philippine Blogosphere.
Along with this launch, we are also announcing The Philippine Issues Writing Project, where you will be able to write about the issues that matter to you the most, and the issues that you feel should be highlighted. I hope everyone can join.
More individuals are about to join, but the team of bloggers we have at the moment is already some of the more prominent Philippine political and social bloggers we have today.
Individuals such as Dean Jorge Bocobo are taking up the challenge. Manuel Buencamino will be dropping by as well. Some of the best writings will be coming from Lester Cavestany and Cocoy of Big Mango. Rom will provide her straightforward thoughts and opinions on the issues, the same kind of writing that keep her readers clamoring for more!
And let’s not forget Schumey of The Philippine Experience, the voice of patriotism and of freedom and justice. He is truly one of the more outspoken, thought provoking, and inspiring political bloggers we have today.
J of The Nutbox, a young individual with a mind of a seasoned veteran. His writings are Grade A each and every time, and he provides analysis like a professional.
The Warrior Lawyer, watch out folks, this is a real lawyer, his analysis on the issues are excellent, combined with a little law, personal views, and a writing that just flows off of the screen, he is a blogger to be reckoned with.
And Arbet, a mainstay of the Philippine Blogosphere, always passionate and involved, always helping out, and always willing to voice his opinion on the matters of the day. This is a man that was born to be a political and social blogger.
Patricio Mangubat, I think is one of the best political bloggers out there. His analysis are thorough and well thought out. It’s a learning experience each and every time you read one of his articles, and we are so glad to have him on board.
Of course, we can’t forget about The Jester In Exile, it sounds funny, but some of the more dramatic and serious issues of the day are tackled by this man. His writings on issues cover everything from the plight of OFW’s all the way to the plight of Cris Anthony Mendez.
And of course, Filipino Voices will have guest bloggers from all sectors of society, watch out for these heavy hitters too!
I would like to personally thank each and every one of the bloggers as well as the guest bloggers, who have shown such support for this project. As I have said, it was long overdue, but we finally got it done. And the only thing I can say is that I am proud to be a part of such a talented group of individuals.

Hi Nick! This seems to be a very interesting project. Good luck and regards to all those involved.
Alex, thank you for the warm wishes. It’s been a project long overdue. It’s close to my heart, and eventually it is the project that I hope will prosper and make a difference.
Hope you can drop by once in a while, and register your views on the issues.
And we’re also having a Writing Project, you get to decide the issue you want to write about. and there’s P10,000 worth of prizes!
Hi nick,
Kudos to you and your team of bloggers keep it going ayt!
btw add a blogger/s that are below 20 year old… Voice of the youth!
@Dan, below 20 year olds is very much still on the agenda, although we haven’t had any interested parties that wants to be part of the team.. I think this will change, as more individuals slowly find out about this collaboration..
We need a way to vent our frustrations from our politicians and
leaders. They have ways to hide their bad behaviors, as well as
muzzle their opponents. They can do it by fear, threats , money
and other kinds of intimidations. They cannot now silence their critics and hide the truth.
Now, we have the Bloggosphere. They are Perfect Targets. We will
be fair to them, if they behave and do their jobs. We will
even be thankful and appreciative, if they will do a better one.
Be assured, we are responsible Bloggers…
