OK, maybe he didn’t actually read our previous blog post saying that The Bush Administration didn’t know the meaning of a political solution. Because, yesterday, wouldn’t you know it. After Secretary Rice set up a meeting requesting another 100 billion as a supplement for Iraq and Afghanistan, she concluded by saying that The [...]

The Selloff started in China, then the US followed suit, as also the rest of the world. The DOW fell by 416 points, the biggest since 2001.
What happened in China, was probably the result of the following events.
The market has been on a tear, it doubled in value, the day before the selloff [...]

The one thing that I like about this political advertisement by Sonia Rocco is one of the reasons why I supported Raul Rocco in his run for the presidency, and that is education and the right for children to have an education. This is a very quick political advertisement, but an effective one.

Sonia Rocco, the wife of the late Senator Raul Rocco. She continues her fight for education in her run for The Senate. Inang Guro is what people call her. This Political Advertisement is one of the more effective videos because it shows her in the light of her strength, and that [...]

A friend of mine asked me the other day, I think you’re the only blog out here that has not said one word about Anna Nicole Smith’s death. My answer was, “What else am I supposed to add?” I mean there’s literally been more coverage on this non-issue, than there was coverage leading [...]

I think the headline says it all, but is it only the U.S? I think by now the entire world is clamoring the same sentiment on this issue. The U.S. Senate’s committee on foreign relations is aware of this situation, most other countries’ ambassadors are aware of this, I am certain The U.S. [...]

Those are not my own words, but these are the sentiments of top officials in the U.S. military. Unfortunately, The Bush Administration is willing to change existing military norms and shorten the time between combat duties, there has been criticism on the lack of proper equipment, and still he accuses others of not supporting [...]

In recent weeks there have been escalations in anti war rallies, but I’m not really going to talk about that right now. What I want is to convey the fact that without diplomacy there can be no peace. The current troop surge in Iraq is clearly not a new strategy even though the [...]

Yes, you read the title right. We support Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao so much so, that we are asking you not to vote for him. As you may already know, Manny has decided to foolishly throw his gloves into the political ring and has proceeded in his bid for a congressional seat in the [...]

In just a few hours, you will witness the power of Hollywood, and as expected, there will be one politician that will get an Oscar. Former Vice President Al Gore will probably win for his documentary “An Inconvenient Truth” where the horrors of Global Warming is discussed and taken into deep discussion and coverage.
I [...]

When we wrote a while back about Kareem and his wrongful arrest, because of what he wrote in his blogs, I could not foresee that he would be headed to a road of confinement. But, indeed, this is what has transpired this week.
We join in the grassroots opposition to this neglect of Freedom of [...]

A poem by Wilfred Owen, written when he was the commander of a company in the Artists Rifles, during the First World War. Dulce et decorum est Pro patria mori means it is sweet and seemly to die for one’s country.
Bent double, like old beggars under sacks,
Knock-kneed, coughing like hags, we cursed through sludge,
Till on [...]

This is by far the most annoying 2007 political advertisement so far amongst all the other senate television ads. But I have to hand it for Zubiri, he does try to make it work. Over the top? Definitely.

I thought that this was the most effective for me among all the other television advertisements that Kiko has so far. His kids are so cute and does a wonderful job in this political ad. This brings the family appeal of Kiko into play, and who doesn’t love kids anyway.

Aside from the fact that it’s election season, there’s even more at stake this time around because of the fact that the current administration, if it wins a majority, will again push for a Charter Change.
But, the headlines as of late have been about the Melo Commission report. So let’s go around the nation [...]
